Working at height safety: When considering maintenance work or work which will involve personnel or contractors working at height, the end user should do everything that is reasonably practical to ensure that the health and safety of those personnel, remains paramount. It is often overlooked at design stage that the health, safety and well-being of these workers is a priority.

DTE can also offer a design and build service for all manner of conventional fire escapes, fixed ladders and platforms across most industry sectors. All of our ladders and platforms are manufactured in accordance with current British Standards and are specifically designed to comply with Health & Safety requirements. They are typically manufactured in stainless or mild steel and can be finished through painting, galvanising or both. Platforms can be supplied with self-closing gates, ensuring that access is restricted according to site regulations. Perimeter hand railing is designed to offer safety without restricting practical usage of the platform. Kicking edges around the platform stop assets being knocked off the platform giving rise to danger and creating a hazard for those underneath.

Horizontal lifeline systems are the most common and widely used choice of fall arrest systems when considered on rooftop structures and high level access in heavy industries (Access to rooftops for example for maintenance). Our flexible systems are designed and built to operate horizontally, vertically, up and down inclines and around corners. They offer complete protection and comply with all legislation. Based on an 8mm 7×7 stainless steel cable passing through cable guides and corner assemblies. The cable is terminated at both ends using end anchor assemblies connected to a tensioning unit.
DTE can design, supply, install and commission vertical fall arrest systems to suit your individual requirement. This type of system usually consists of rail / track or cable based systems in galvanised or stainless steel. These fall arrest systems are designed for use in vertical or incline applications. They provide safe access to structures at height and safe ascent and descent. The devices used in our systems are fixed to permanently attached rails and are designed to be attached to the chest loops of as safety harness. Should a fall occur then the devices lock into position and have the additional feature of having a built in shock absorber. Devices are easily added and removed as necessary.
